CAT OF THE WEEK - (367) Pitt @ (368) Notre Dame (-6) 3:30 PM EST NBC

3* Pittsburgh

Followers of Cheetah Leggings debut suffered huge disappointment when the Northwestern Wildcats got the win, no cover at Minnesota.  One can only believe NW QB Persa  was a bit distracted by Cheetah’s presence in the end zone when he fumbled early on in the Minnesota Red Zone.  Cheetah has been duly chastised by this bureau and firmly instructed that there is a fine line between positive reinforcement and distraction.

Her playmate, Heidelicious Rock Rock, has also received a verbal spanking for her failure to excel at her primary role in life – keeping Cheetah out of trouble.  Yet the girls were in full form Monday afternoon at the South Side practice field when Cheetah challenged and defeated Pitt RB Graham who rushed for 277 yds in replacing RB Lewis (shoulder) LW, in the weekly 40 yd sprint. Yet Cheetah’s major job this week is installing confidence in first yr Pitt QB Sunseri.

Though he comes from noble blood lines in the Pittsburgh area, he will need to do better than 353 YPG if the Panthers are to keep pace with the explosive offense of the Irish.  Though HC Wannstedt has refused to allow the girls to travel on the team bus, they will be traveling in tandem with his team as Cheetah and Heidelicious make consecutive appearances in the Midwest.

For those of you were are not privy to their award winning performance at the Barfly Lounge last week, you will want to make sure to join them for Freaky Friday at Club Fever in South Bend.  Regardless of your age, you will enjoy 4 full service bars serving $ .99 Rum and Coke’s and the largest dance floor in the area, and 32,000 square feet of gyrating fun with pole dancing everywhere.

By the end of the evening you might find the girls in the Fahrenheit room of the upscale Lounge reserved for private parties.  Hopefully the Pitt Panthers have not been lured to this den of iniquity. Come Saturday however, look for the Panthers to control play with their defensive line and extend a series history that has seen the road team cover 5 straight on a field where the Irish are 9-23 ATS.

Coming off 5 consecutive season opening highly competitive games against arch rivals, expect the Irish to settle for any narrow victory against the Panther team who has a history of playing them close under Wannstedt.
