British Open 2010 odds were now available at betED.com, which had Tiger Woods as a +375 favorite with a payout potential of just under US$40 for every US$10 bet.

Next is World No. 2 Phil Mickelson at +900 followed by No. 6 Ernie Els and No. 9 Rory Mcilroy, both at +1400. Lee Westwood, currently No. 3 in the world, rounds out the top five favorites at +1600.

And if you don't want to wait until Sunday to cash in, you can bet on the first-round leader. Woods is at +800, followed by Mickelson at +2000, and a large group at +2500: Els, Westwood, Mcilroy, Justin Rose and Padraig Harrington.  The online betting site also offers a wide variety of British Open betting props.

betED.com considers this the slowest week of the year in professional sports.  Gambling911.com sees this as one of the most riveting (if you count poker as a sport).  The British Open is the most wagered on golf tournament of the year while the 2010 World Series of Poker main event winds down by week's end with the final nine determined to play in November.

For US gamblers, you'll need to be up bright and early like the golfers.  TV coverage for the 2010 British Open will be provided by ESPN and ABC all four days starting at 4 am ET on Thursday and Friday, 7 am ET on Saturday, and 6 am ET Sunday.

This marks the 27th time the Old Course at St. Andrews, known as the "Home of Golf," will host the Open.
