We’re more than two months into the 2011 NASCAR season and there are a number of drivers jockeying for position at the top of the Sprint Cup Series standings.

betED.com is offering betting odds on who will take this year’s Sprint Cup title, and to no one’s surprise five-time defending champion Jimmie Johnson is currently the favorite at +250 in Auto Racing Odds.

Johnson, the only driver to win five straight Sprint Cup championships (2006-10), is second in the standings with 326 points, just nine points behind leader Carl Edwards.

The 35-year-old California native has one win this season, at the Aaron's 499 on April 17, and six top 10 finishes in nine starts, for a total of $1.9 million in prize money.

Kyle Bush is next in NASCAR Sprint Cup Odds at betED.com, at +350

The 2009 NASCAR Nationwide Series champion is currently third in the Sprint Cup standings with 305 points, 30 behind Edwards. He has two wins – the Jeff Byrd 500 on March 20 and last week's Matthew & Daniel Hansen 400 – and six top 10 finishes in nine starts, for $1.8 million in prize money.

Edwards, the Sprint Cup leader with 335 points, is at +400 in NASCAR Betting to win the championship this season.

He’s having a stellar season, with one win in nine starts and seven top 10 finishes for $2.7 million in winnings. Edwards finished second in the Daytona 500 and won the Kobalt Tools 400 on March 6.
