The win over Athletic Bilbao gave Barcelona their 25th domestic cup. A win against Mallorca would make it 19 league titles for Barcelona. "I think we've sent out a message after two years without a trophy," midfielder Yaya Toure said.  It was Toure that tied the game against Athletic and turned the tide of the game. "It wasn't the best goal of my career but in terms of significance it was one of the most important," Toure said.

Barcelona is being coached by Pep Guardiola who is trying to lead the team to three major trophies in a season and that has never been done by a Spanish club before. "Last year we just didn't have luck," Toure said. "Even though we created as many chances as we are now we just didn't get the luck."
