Aegon Open Nottingham

The Aegon Open Nottingham is also known as the Nottingham Open, and it began in 1970. It was halted in 1978 and brought back in 1995, then stopped again in 2009 and 2010. It was picked up as a Challenger Tournament from 2011 to 2014 before it was brought back to the ATP Tour as a World Series 250 event. It is played on grass outdoors and held the week before the third Grand Slam of the year, Wimbledon.

2016 Confirmed Contestants

Defending champion Denis Istomin of Uzbekistan will be back at Nottingham, along with runner-up Sam Querrey of the United States. South Africa's Kevin Anderson should be the top seed, followed by Uruguay's Pablo Cuevas, Portgual's Joao Sousa and Alexandr Dolgopolov of Ukraine. Steve Johnson of the United States, Argentina's Federico Delbonis and Italy's Andreas Seppi should play, along with Marcos Baghdatis of Cyprus.
