The NBA stretch drive and NCAA Tournament time are upon us, which means Sportingbet.com is ramping up its 2009 March Madness Basketball Tournament Live Betting platform for Gambling911.com readers.
But it's not just College Basketball bettors that will be able to take advantage. The publicly traded company is also offering live betting on the NBA.
Both NCAA and NBA Basketball bettors can wager live on more than a half-dozen games over the next few days, starting with tonight's tilt between Western Conference rivals Los Angeles Lakers and San Antonio Spurs.
Sportingbet.com has the Spurs as 2.5-point, -145 moneyline favorites, and the over/under total at 194.
Los Angeles has had the upper hand over the past 10 meetings, going 7-3 SU and 6-4 ATS. Only three of those matchups have gone over the total.
The teams last met on Jan. 25, when the Lakers won 99-85 as 7.5-point home favorites. But when the teams squared off 10 days earlier in San Antonio, the Spurs edged the Lakers 112-111, although they failed to cover the 3-point home spread.
On Wednesday, Kobe Bryant scored 37 points and added six assists and four steals to pace the Lakers to a 102-96 over the Houston Rockets. Los Angeles cashed as 2-point road underdogs and the game went under the 202-point total.
On Tuesday, Tony Parker scored 21 points and had seven helpers to lead the Spurs to a 100-86 win over the Charlotte Bobcats. San Antonio covered as 6.5-point home favorites and the score went over the 177.5-point total.
Sportingbet.com will also have IN:PLAY Betting available when the Memphis Grizzlies visit the Boston Celtics on Friday (7:30 pm ET, Comcast).
And NBA Bettors can wager live when the Utah Jazz visit the Miami Heat on Saturday (1:05 pm ET, SUN).
As for 2009 Basketball Tournament Live Betting, NCAA College basketball bettors will also have four games to choose from this weekend - two on Saturday and two on Sunday.
