The Cubs are today's top exposure in Major League Baseball, hosting the Cincinnati Reds.  Chicago is a -152 favorite and seeing 90% of the action.  It should be noted that there are many games being played prior to this one, which starts at 2:20 pm EDT.

The line on this game has dropped from -160 to -147, an obvious indication that the books believe in Cincinnati here.

The Reds may be 39-50, but they have been playing good over the past month, winning six of their last ten games. They have also won six of their last ten meetings versus the Cubs.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Reds RH Luis Castillo (5-8, 5.53 ERA) vs. Cubs LH Jon Lester (11-2, 2.25)

Castillo took a shutout in the seventh inning of a no-decision Monday against the Chicago White Sox his last start. . It was the 25-year-old’s first quality start since May 24 and just his fifth in 18 outings this season. Castillo is 1-0 with a 2.16 ERA in three starts against the Cubs.

Lester won his seventh straight start when he allowed four runs (two earned) over five innings to beat Minnesota last Sunday.   He has allowed two or fewer runs in his last six starts and owns a 1.46 ERA over that stretch. Lester is 6-1 with a 4.07 ERA in 14 starts against the Reds.

Lester is due for a bad outing here whereas Castillo must be on his A-Game.
