Rusin has only permitted three runs in just over sixteen innings this season including just two runs at home against these same Marlins. That game turned out to be a 10-5 affair.
Phelps, who has served up five homers in his last three outings, is winless in five appearances (three starts) at home.
Phelps was clobbered for nine runs on 11 hits -- including two home runs -- over 3.2 innings in a loss to the Rockies on Saturday. He struck out three without walking a batter.
Sure we can expect a better performance from Phelps this go-around but the number should still stay OVER 8.5 as Miami has given up at least four runs in six of the last seven games Phelps has started in. We anticipate some scoring here from the Marlins as well.
