Phillies vs. Reds Series Betting Picks, DFS Plays – June 8 Thru 10

Gambling911.com has your Phillies vs. Reds series betting picks and Daily Fantasy Sports plays for Monday through Wednesday of this week.

The Series:

The OVER is 7-1 in this series and it is interesting to note that the most recent three games listed at the peak number of 8 have each gone UNDER the total.  Most of the games in this series have featured a total between 6.5 and 7.5.  OVER has the edge.

Recent Games:

Cincinnati is playing a little bit better of late, winning half of their last ten games while Philadelphia has only won three.  The Phillies have scored at least four runs over their last six games.  All totaled at least 9.  Eight of Cincinnati’s last ten games have totaled at least eight.  OVER has the edge.

Monday Betting:

PITCHING MATCHUP: Phillies LH Cole Hamels (5-4, 2.88 ERA) vs. Reds RH Mike Leake (2-4, 4.40)

Hamels is a sick 14-0 vs. the Reds lifetime.  Hamels continued his string of strong outings by holding Cincinnati to two runs on six hits over seven innings, the sixth consecutive start in which he pitched at least seven frames and permitted two runs or fewer.  Leake has struggled against the Phillies, going 1-3 mark and 6.43 ERA.

It is very difficult not to bet Philadelphia with Cole Hamels at 101, and that is exactly what we will be doing.

Monday Daily Fantasy:

Jeff Francoeur was 2-for-4 with four RBIs thanks to a homer on Saturday for Philadelphia. He was 1-for-1 on Sunday.  He’s hit in six of his last ten, four of which included at least two hits. Francoeur is 3-for-9 with an RBI against Leake.

Maikel Franco – Was 2-for-4 hitting Sunday.  He hit in his last six coming into Monday’s game following a little slump.  Franco went 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBI in Wednesday's win over the Reds.  He is 1-for-3 against Leake.

Ryan Howard – Was 2-for-4 hitting on Sunday.  He is 6-for-18 against Leake with two homeruns.

Tuesday Betting:

PITCHING MATCHUP: Phillies RH Aaron Harang (4-6, 2.45 ERA) vs. Reds RH Anthony DeSclafani (4-4, 3.60 ERA)

Harang had a bad outing his last start but has only permitted more than 3 runs in one out of nine other starts this season.

DeSclafani won his last game despite giving up four runs.  He’s been inconsistent this season thus far.

Bettors should stay clear of this game today as Harang will likely rebound and you never know which DeSclafani will show up for this game.

Tuesday Daily Fantasy:

Jeff Francoeur was 2-for-4 with four RBIs thanks to a homer on Saturday for Philadelphia. He was 1-for-1 on Sunday.  He’s hit in six of his last ten, four of which included at least two hits.

Maikel Franco – Was 2-for-4 hitting Sunday.  He hit in his last six coming into Monday’s game following a little slump.  Franco went 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBI in Wednesday's win over the Reds.

Ben Revere - Revere went 3-for-4 with a double, a triple, a steal, an RBI and a run Thursday against the Reds, all against DeSclafani.

Ryan Howard – Was 2-for-4 hitting on Sunday.  He is 1-for-6 against DeSclafani however.

Joey Votto – Votto hit 2-for-4 Sunday with one run scored. He hit 1-for-2 Saturday with three runs scored.  He is 3-for-8 against Harang.

Todd Frazier – Has hit in seven of his last ten games coming into this series.  This includes three homeruns.  He is 4-for-14 against Harang with three extra base hits.

Wednesday Betting:

PITCHING MATCHUP:

Phillies RH Jerome Williams (3-5,5.68) vs. Reds RH Jon Mascot (0-1, 7.20).  This one will likely feature a high total.

Wednesday Fantasy:

Jeff Francoeur was 2-for-4 with four RBIs thanks to a homer on Saturday for Philadelphia. He was 1-for-1 on Sunday.  He’s hit in six of his last ten, four of which included at least two hits.

Jay Bruce – Hit 2-for-4 Sunday with two runs scored, both were homers. Bruce hit 1-for-5 on Saturday.
