Our friends at Don Best TV have their updated NHL Power Rankings.  Todd Furhman and Kenny White break them down.

This is a debut of the Don Best Advantage new feature.

There are no real surprises at the top with the Chicago Blackhawks at number one.  Then, as Furhman points out, there is a real log jam at number two.

“The Ducks, Kings, Penguins and Sharks,” he notes.  “More importantly, as you go through the power numbers, how should you go about setting a number for say the Blackhawks playing host to Calgary (who are dead last)?”

“Simply minus the difference,” White says.

Chicago would be -230 in a neutral location.  Playing in Calgary, anything over -$2.01, White only gives 10 cents, so make this game -220 in Calgary and he gives 40 cents for Chicago at home.
