NFL Week 13 Fantasy Value Picks, Best Bets: Cards Stanton, Calanzaro Stand Out

Looking for some value with your NFL Week 13 Fantasy picks, we got some good selections below.  Gambling911.com is also the only website of its kind that analyzes fantasy players and considers how individuals or a group of individuals might impact the spread or total for any given game.

Case in point, on paper at least, a few important Arizona players should light it up versus a suspect Atlanta squad with the 3rd-worst pass coverage in the league.  As if that weren’t enough, they have also given up a league-high 284 yards per game through the air.

ESPN.com suggests that Drew Stanton's inefficiency (53.6 completion percentage) in the passing game removes any streaming upside potentially developed in facing a softer defensive group.  Still, with a price tag of around $6500, Stanton deserves some consideration.

The better pick from Arizona would be kicker Chandler Calanzaro.  With his team going up against an Atlanta squad that is dead last in total defense, it would seem on the surface that Calanzaro is going to have plenty of opportunities and, unless he blows those chances, Calanzaro should rack up plenty of fantasy points.  He’s priced at around $4500 at most fantasy sites.  And that, my friends, is an absolute steal.

Arizona is allowing the 4th fewest fantasy points to opposing arms so it’s difficult to see Falcons QB Matt Ryan, 23rd among signal-callers in fantasy points per game since Week 5, suddenly coming alive against a Cardinals team that has allowed the 4th fewest fantasy points to opposing arms.

The Cardinals were seeing 81% of the betting action as a -1.5 favorite in Atlanta but be forewarned, bookies were enticing the betting public to back Arizona here as they previously held the line at -2.5.  All the fantasy observations suggest an easy Cardinals win.  The line movement suggests something opposite however.

Elsewhere, watch for the Steelers well rested Ben Roethlisberger to take full advantage of a Saints secondary is ranked dead last in pass coverage.  The line on this game is Pittsburgh -4 and it is hard to imagine the Steelers not being able to cover in this scenario at home.  There is value with both the Steelers and Ben Roethlisberger, who is priced around $8300 this week.

On the other end of the spectrum is Saints wide receiver Kenny Stills, an absolute bargain at close to $5000.  The Steelers have allowed the seventh-most fantasy points to opposing wideouts over the past six weeks and, with Brandin Cooks' season-ending injury, Stills is an absolute fantasy steal against the Steelers.

It’s no surprise that the total on this game is as high as 55, even higher than that of Washington/Indianapolis.

Speaking of Indy, Dan Herron figures to fit in nicely with the scoring frenzy we fully anticipate in Indianapolis this Sunday with a total at 50.5.  Herron comes cheap too at just under six grand and many believe he’ll be the go-to guy over fellow running back Trent Richardson.  Herron racked up 96 total yards on 17 touches against the Jaguars last week.  The Redskins are allowing the fourth-fewest fantasy points to opposing RBs this season.  Something to keep in the back of your minds.  Still, the price is right on Herron.

Fantasy reviews for both the Saints-Steelers and Redskins-Colts games point to high scoring affairs, though the oddsmakers have already taken this into account with their posted totals.

Note that the official Gambling911.com free pick this week is on Green Bay -3 as we hope to improve on our 12-3 NFL free picks record since Week 7.
