This Thursday night the football world is going to witness a beat down. As much love as the world has for the Manning family, this week will not be a great game for Eli. Unless a miracle happens, the New York Giants are going to be hurting against a Chicago Bears team that plays defense like a machine. Even if they aren’t perfect, the Giants are doing so poorly this season, that the Bears will look like a Super Bowl caliber team with relative ease.

It’s not all Eli Manning’s fault, but it most certainly hangs heavy on his shoulders. He is the one that is dealing with the frustration of the team’s losses, even though his offensive line is not up to par with many of the defenses that they’ve faced. It’s inexperience, injuries, and so much more that needs to get the blame here, and not just the quarterback. Even so, there are some serious adjustments that need to be made in order to get past the Bears. The Chicago Bears and Jay Cutler are doing well together, and they are proving yet again that they are a powerhouse team. On defense and offense, they can hurt you, and the Giants are unfortunately going to be on the receiving end of a great Bears team this time around.
The Match Up
It’s really hard to determine whether or not Eli Manning and the Giants can pull it together, finally. Even though we love underdogs, this is not going to be one for the record books. Expect to see some shining moments, as there is still enough offensive prowess on New York’s side to make this game interesting, but the Bears are going to be winning, and they’ll win relatively easily.
