Gambling911.com has some good MLB betting trends and picks for Tuesday night’s games. All betting odds appear below as well.
Rays-Indians – The Rays are 1-11 in the last 12 meetings. We won last night with Cleveland by a single run with a decent enough price. The oddsmakers have brought the number down from -176 to -160, which scares us a bit here. Let’s not push things.
Nationals-Pirates – The Nationals are 12-5 in the last 17 meetings between these two ball clubs. The Nationals RH Stephen Strasburg (3-1, 3.28 ERA) allowed season highs in runs (five) and hits (eight) over six innings, but struck out nine to walk away with a no-decision against Baltimore on Wednesday. He allowed only one run in his last meeting against Pittsburgh. We would anticipate a desire to improve his performance here following the no decision. It helps that the Nationals are 11-3 in their last 14 road games vs. a right-handed starter while the Pirates are 5-11 in their last 16 games vs. a right-handed starter. BetOnline has the Nationals at -160 and this is where you want to bet them as this is the best price out there.
Reds-Cubs – The Reds are 7-1 in Bronson Arroyo’s (3-2, 5.94 ERA) last 8 road starts vs. Cubs. They have also won Arroyo’s last five starts while he’s allowed three or fewer runs in four of those. The Cubs RH John Lackey (3-3, 4.29) iss 5-5 with a 3.83 ERA in 14 starts against the Reds. The Reds though are just 1-6 in their last 7 road games vs. a right-handed starter.
Yankees-Royals – The OVER is 7-0 in the last 7 meetings but the Royals are just6-13 in their last 19 home games vs. a left-handed starter.
Mets-Diamondbacks – The Mets are 1-6 in the last 7 meetings and they are 0-5 in their last 5 games vs. a right-handed starter. The Diamondbacks are 9-2 in their last 11 home games vs. a left-handed starter, 4-1 in 4-1 in RH Zack Greinke's (4-2, 2.79) last 5 home start and 6-1 in his last 7 home starts vs. a team with a losing record. Greinke owns a splendid 1.03 WHIP through eight starts and has 58 strikeouts against only nine walks. Get the Diamondbacks at -160 here
