We are getting slaughtered these last three days with our UNDER picks and our September record is now 7-8. Let’s see if we can get back on track today.
This afternoon we will be on the Yankees/Orioles UNDER 7.5. This series for the most part has stayed UNDER the current total during the last six meetings in Baltimore, with only one game going OVER.
The Yankees RH Shane Greene (4-3, 3.57 ERA) has to be hungry for a win after a second straight loss. He only surrendered two unearned runs in his last outing. Greene went 7 1/3 innings at Baltimore on July 12, striking out nine and scattering four hits without allowing a run.
The Orioles RH Miguel Gonzalez (9-7, 3.22) has allowed two or fewer earned runs in each of his last five starts and nine of his last 10 and permitted just two runs in eight innings the last time he faced the Yankees.
We will also be on the Twins/White Sox OVER 7 – We get a decent number here being that neither team has scored many runs in their last few games overall but these two clubs facing off against one another might change that.
The last 10 meetings have yielded 7 or more runs with the last 3 meetings in Chicago resulting in 19, 14 and 18 runs being scored, respectively. Also the OVER is 9-2 in the Twins last 11 overall.
The Twins RH Phil Hughes (15-9, 3.55 ERA) yielded two runs over three innings before exiting with a bruised shin the last time he faced off against Chicago.
The White Sox LH Jose Quintana (7-10, 3.38) permitted one unearned run his last outing against Minnesota.
The problem here is that the relievers have been torched so, provided neither pitcher can stay beyond 6 innings, we should be able to get OVER the 7.
