The UNDER is 4-0 in the last four of this series and 4-0 in the last 4 meetings in St. Louis. Seven of the last eight games in this series have gone UNDER the current total of 8.5.
Cole enjoyed a nice win his last start. He lost at St. Louis on April 19 despite permitting two runs in six innings, falling to 5-4 with a 2.84 ERA in 11 career starts against the Cardinals.
Lynn's strong start this month came to a crashing halt Sunday in Baltimore as he surrendered a career-high four homers among the seven runs and nine hits he allowed over 4 2/3 innings. The one-time All-Star hasn't lasted more than 5 1/3 frames in any of his last five outings. One would say he is due against a team that could not score against him over a seven inning stretch last time they faced off against Lynn on April 17.
The Cardinals are 7-16 in their last 23 games vs. a right-handed starter while the UNDER is 6-1 in the Pirates last 7 overall and 6-1 in their last 7 games vs. a right-handed starter.
