Kentucky and Florida is going to be a game to watch, as the rivalry has been brewing for many years. The two teams have some deep history that goes back at least a quarter century, and when they hook up this weekend, it will be another drag out brawl.

Current line: Kentucky +12 ½ / Over & Under at 46

Time:  Saturday, September 28, 7:00 pm (EST) ESPNU, Watchespn.com

Mark Stoops is in his inaugural season with Kentucky and he is quite familiar with the Gators as he was the defensive coordinator with Florida State. With that advantage, look for Kentucky to bring out some interesting defensive schemes and lay down the heavy lumber with good hits and coordinated attacks on the ball. They haven’t been impressive as of late, but this may be their chance to gain some serious credibility, knocking down a Gators team that has not been met with greatness.

Florida hasn’t been that great team of old, and it is definitely not being led by the charismatic Tim Tebow, so it’s no wonder they were sloppy in conference play. They may have won last weekend, but they didn’t exactly impress most. Tyler Murphy’s luck would have him in the game, and it’s going to be quite interesting to see if he can bring out the lore of the NCAA football dreams of sorts. This could turn into a movie plot if he can go into the game and dominate, but we’re not so sure just yet.

The Match Up:

Can the Gators sew up their mistakes, and really come together against a resurging Kentucky defense? The defensive minded team is going to be pushing their weight around and should definitely be an interesting match up this weekend. It’s not going to be pretty, but it will definitely be a good game to watch. The Gators are still favored, and for that reason they are getting a lot of chatter, and should be interesting to see if they can really dominate. We’re going with underdog on this one as there is a chance Kentucky isn’t going to tire after some initial scores from the Florida offense. Kentucky +12 ½ is going to be a good one here, especially if they can showcase some solid defensive schematics.

The Edge:

Kentucky +12 ½

SportsCashSystem.com Prediction: Kentucky +12 ½
