The Georgia-Clemson prediction for Week 1 from our friends at Bet Online had the Bulldogs pulling it off against a solid Tigers team.

Dan Marcus of Bet Online:

Clemson is poised to have a big year with Tajh Boyd leading the way for one of the most explosive offenses in the country, but the defense remains suspect and that will create problems against this Bulldogs’ offense. Georgia doesn’t have an elite defense, but they are balanced enough on offense that they can dictate the pace of this contest and come out on top in what should end up being a shootout.

The Georgia Bulldogs came very close to beating the eventual BCS champion Alabama Crimson Tide in the 2012 SEC Championship game and perhaps completely shaking up the national title picture, Marcus also noted.

Clemson was favored to win UNDER 9.5 regular season games at -145 with the OVER offering much better value.

The Bulldogs were listed at OVER/UNDER 9.5 as well, priced both ways at -115.
