Egg Bowl 2014 betting odds for the Mississippi State vs. Ole Miss game featured a line of -2.5 Bulldogs.

The home team has won nine of the last ten games in this series and they have alternated wins and losses throughout the years. 85% of those betting this game were backing the Bulldogs.

Both Mississippi teams have impressed this season with the Rebels going 8-3 after a hot season start that has cooled off over their last four meetings in which they suffered three losses.  Star receiver Laquon Treadwell has been lost to a season-ending injury.

Mississippi State is ranked number four in the nation and suffered their first and online loss against Alabama two weeks ago. They responded by shutting out Vanderbilt 51-0 last week.

This is one of the most important Egg Bowls in recent memories as there are national championship implications here.  It's just the third time in the past 57 years and first since 1999 that both teams are nationally ranked going into the Egg Bowl.

Should the Bulldogs win their 11th game Saturday, it would be the most ever won in school history.
