Detroit Lions vs Cleveland Browns Odds
Two very interesting teams to watch this week in the NFL are the Detroit Lions and the Cleveland Browns. These two have some serious upside, and the Browns have a winning streak that is just begging to get broken by the Lions.
The Browns have been a team that many analysts have not backed up. They are coming off of a week where they were able to topple the Buffalo Bills in an interesting game at home, but they will have a much tougher chance at this upcoming battle. The Lions weren’t able to take out the Packers this last week and have shown to have lackluster abilities on the ball. In fact, the loss was one that probably hurt Detroit fans a great deal, as they were looking for a silver lining this year, after so many seasons of terrible gameplay.
Calvin Johnson’s presence will not be felt on the field this week, and that could be the wild card that the Browns need to get moving forward. Sure, this is a team effort, but it’s something that has to weigh heavily on the offense. Reggie Bush may be able to do well, but he hasn’t looked great after straining his knee in the first few Lions games. Even though they aren’t looking amazing, they can still manage to pull this one out, if they play a solid game on both sides of the ball.
The Match Up
The Cleveland Browns have major potential here, and they are going to brining the heavy lumber on defense here. They may not have a great offense, but their defense can definitely be the saving grace here. The Lions on the other hand, have not done well when facing a defensive minded team, as we saw Reggie Bush held to only 44 yards against the Packers. If this occurs again, the Browns may take advantage of the meager offerings put up by Detroit. Even with some downsides, look for the Lions to roar, and shine once again. The Browns are good, but they are ready to lose after streaking.
