The Dallas Cowboys season win total betting odds for 2014 were set at OVER/UNDER 8 but bad news for Cowboys fans as the UNDER comes in as a big favorite priced at -165.  The OVER pays $135 at AceSportsbook.com.

This is a team that once again finished 8-8 last season and, as the oddsmakers suggest, Dallas will have a tough time making it to the .500 mark in 2014.  That’s primarily due to the Cowboys loss of DeMarcus Ware to the Broncos and Sean Lee to a season ending ACL injury suffered during the first day of practice.

Last year’s defensive unit was a bit of an embarrassment.  With these huge losses, one can only imagine how bad the defense will be in 2014.

As if that weren’t bad enough, three of their first seven games will be against the likes of the New Orleans Saints, San Francisco 49ers and reigning Super Bowl champs Seattle Seahawks.

The schedule overall is considered to be relatively soft however.  In theory, Dallas should be able to win all three of their division games at home.  Hosting Houston and a road game in Jacksonville should be manageable.  But games in Tennessee and St. Louis probably won’t be easy while the Cardinals and Colts could prove to much for Dallas even at home.  Chicago on the road we would mark up as a loss for Dallas.

The UNDER 8 has value despite the high price in our opinion.
