This week’s match up between the Chicago Bears and the Detroit Lions will definitely prove to be one that can turn into a heated battle. This week 4 match will test the Chicago defense against a Detroit team that has a lot of upside.

Current line: Chicago Bears +3 / Over & Under at 47

Time:  Sunday, September 29, 1:00 pm (EST) FOX, NFL Red Zone

The Lions may not be the best team in the league, but they have enough of an offensive track to make defenses pay if they let their guard down. Matthew Stafford and Calvin Johnson will have to throw in some spectacular moves in order to ensure that they get the “W” here. The Chicago defense however is not going to go down without a good fight. The match up features a nice back and forth possibility, if the defenses can’t seem to get through the offensive lines.

Sunday’s game will feature a solid Chicago team that Detroit may be taking lightly. In fact, the Lions have even gone on record saying that they are not even worried about the first place NFC North team. Jim Schwartz said it’s too early to tell about the meeting, in an interview that seemed to have him underestimating the strength of the Bears. That may play to his favor as he could be hiding something, or simply doesn’t want to comment on what will be this weekend, before it happens.

The Match Up:

There’s a certain measure of uncertainty found here, something that is not going to go away by game time. The Detroit Lions have some upside in the run game, and their defense can in fact contain a lot of the offense that Chicago may bring. The Lions are going to have to play their best game against the Bears, and the Bears will have to take Schwartz’s attitude in the press and make him check his comments next time around. It’s with that in mind, that we’re going to give this game to the Chicago squad as they certainly look poised to take the Lions down. It won’t be easy, but they have this one. Look at Chicago +3 in this game.

The Edge:

Chicago Bears +3

SportsCashSystem.com Prediction: Chicago Bears +3
