The Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio kicks off the NFL preseason each year. The game is played at Fawcett Stadium and is held on Sunday on what is now referred to as Hall of Fame weekend. The game is a stand alone contest in terms of NFL preseason betting as it is the only game of the week.

The teams that participate in the game will end up playing five preseason games while the other 30 teams in the league will play the standard four preseason games.

2014 Hall of Fame Game Betting

The 2014 Hall of Fame Game has the New York Giants taking on the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, August 3rd. The Buffalo Bills are 2.5 point favorites with the total listed at 32.5. The game has a start time of just after 8 pm Eastern and will be shown on NBC.

Hall of Fame Game Teams

The game normally matches up an AFC team against an NFC team. Oftentimes the game will feature one team that has a former player from the team being inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The game was held on Monday night from 1999-2005 but since it is now being televised on NBC it is the kick off of Sunday Night Football. The game will remain on NBC through at least until 2015.
