Bet the Brewers-Pirates Series September 2-4

You can bet the Brewers-Pirates series this weekend where the UNDER is 7-1 in the last eight meetings. though we would be remiss in pointing out that the OVER is 7-3 in the last 10 meetings in Pittsburgh.

FRIDAY’S PITCHING MATCHUP: Brewers RH Júnior Guerra (7-3, 2.93 ERA) vs. Pirates RH Jameson Taillon (3-3, 3.39)

One of Guerra’s last starts was a brilliant performance against the Pirates, when he came within one out of a complete game and permitted one run and four hits on July 29. The 31-year-old Venezuelan also faced Pittsburgh at PNC Park 10 days earlier and gave up two runs on three hits over six innings.

Prior to his injury, Guerra allowed two or fewer runs in seven of his last ten starts including no more than two runs in two starts versus the Pirates.  Both of those games stayed well UNDER the current total.

Taillon has faced the Brewers four times in just over a month and was battered by them his last start, though that may have been more of an outlier.

Taillon has been fantastic during his rookie season, posting a 3.39 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 63:12 K:BB in 77 innings (13 starts)
