You can bet the Braves-Nats series Friday through Sunday with a special focus on Max Scherzer starting on Sunday.
Yes, be prepared to pay a hefty price – probably somewhere around the -270 mark with Scherzer starting at home (though opposing probable starting pitcher for the Braves, Tyrell Jenkins, has only permitted three runs in over 18 of his last innings of pitching and this could bring the price down slightly).
Not only is he ranked among the top starters in the league currently, Scherzer has also allowed a mere 45 hits off of 215 at bats against this current Braves lineup, only four of those home runs.
This is a great spot to take Scherzer as he is coming off a loss Tuesday night. Scherzer (12-7) pitched seven innings, allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits and one walk while striking out 10 Indians.
