2 Dead, 6 Injured in Shock Vegas Strip Attack Thursday: Showgirls Among Those Killed

Police responded to multiple calls of stabbings near the 3100 block of Las Vegas Boulevard on the Las Vegas Strip near the Encore Hotel at about 11:40 am local time (2:40 pm ET).  At lest two are dead and six injured.  A total of eight people were stabbed.

Las Vegas police Capt. Dori Koren said that police were able to apprehend a suspect "very quickly" and render aid to victims.

Three of those injured are in critical condition.

"The weapon we recovered was a large kitchen knife," Koren said.

Some of the victims were showgirls taking pictures with tourists, bystanders told Fox 5.

A motive has yet to be determined.  This story is developing...
