Scottie Scheffler Payout Odds to Win The Open Championship Promised $2700 on a $100 Bet Ahead of Sunday

Don't look now but early favorite to win The Open Championship 2026, Scottie Scheffler, was in striking distance of the top of the leadership board as of Noon EDT Sunday.  Ahead of Sunday's play, he was promising as much as a $2700 payout for every $100 bet to win.  He opened around 7-1 odds Thursday.  As long as Scheffler remains in the thick of things, he will present a threat this close to the finish line. 

Remarkably, after losing his ball in the thick grass and searching for it for a bit, Scheffler managed to save his birdie on the par 5 17th after getting free relief.

Scheffler knew he had to birdie the 18th to match Cam Young, but he missed the green with his approach. He ended up bogeying.

Still, getting to 7-under with his 3-under 67, is a great outing for the top-ranked golfer in the world. If he made just a few more putts, he'd be the clear leader.

Scheffler remains one of the sportsbooks highest liabilities with the largest percentage of action coming into the tournament.
