Steve Bannon's comments at the Greenville GOP convention Monday sparked an onslaught of wagers on President Donald Trump to win the 2028 Election.

Bannon said he's exploring as many as six scenarios that would enable Trump to run for a third term in 2028 and that "four or five of them are going to work."

BetOnline.ag is reporting that political betting volume over the past 48 hours hit historic levels…the highest the gambling site has seen since the week of the 2024 election.

Yet, in the UK, the historic home of political betting, bookies are running scared of even offering Trump 2028 odds. Longtime bookmaker, Betfair, said they don't believe he is eligible according to the US Constitution, and will only add him later in the case of legal challenges to the assumed status quo.

"Betfair refusing to add Trump to the market is a PR disaster in waiting," BetOnline political oddsmaker Paul Krishnamurty said. "If he somehow finds a way to run then they have to cancel all bets, and that will be an absolute nightmare for their operation."

In contrast, BetOnline.ag is offering odds on him for the 2028 presidency and nomination, yes/no odds for him to run or not, as well as odds on whether or not the two-term limit will be repealed.

The platform also added two additional market this morning: Trump to be on the 2028 Iowa Caucus ballot and Trump to be on 26 states’ General Election ballot.

NOTES:
