Odds to Win Republican Primary in Wisconsin: Cruz Now Favored at -160

BetOnline has given Texas Senator Ted Cruz odds of -160 to win the Republican Primary in Wisconsin.  For those of you new to online betting, a $16 wager pays $10 and, assuming Cruz does win, you would receive $10 and keep that $16 that was being bet (in other words, you profit $10 for every $16 wagered).

The Field, including real estate magnate Donald Trump and Ohio Governor John Kasich, would pay out $13 for every $10 bet as the slight underdogs to win.

The most recent Emerson College Polling Society Survey conducted last week (March 20-22) showed the following:

    Cruz, 36 percent

    Trump, 35 percent

Ohio Gov. John Kasich, 19 percent

That survey took place prior to a public spat between Trump and Cruz in which the candidates wives were depicted in an unflattering way, one as part of a television campaign ad, another via a Twitter post.  A National Enquirer story alleging Cruz’ sexual involvement with other women also hit the newsstands after the poll concluded.  Cruz has denied the salacious reports and accused Trump of having a hand in getting the story published.

The Wisconsin Republican Primary will be held April 5.
