BetOnline continued to offer odds on the Georgia Senate runoff election with Raphael Warnock (D) now a huge -600 favorite versus Herschel Walker (R) at +350.  Walker would pay out $35 for every $10 bet with an upset win.

Forget elections though.  The hashtag #Erection was trending Wednesday morning after Walker confused the word with "election" or otherwise misspoke.

"This erection is about the people," Walker said while surrounded by the likes of South Carolina Republican Senator Lindsey Graham and Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz.

While the oddsmakers see it as inevitable that Warnock wins Georgia, BetOnline was also offering odds on his margin of victory.

Under 3.5 % was coming in priced at -140 while the Over was at Even odds.

DeSantis News

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis remains the near EVEN odds favorite to win the Republican nominee for President in 2024 while former U.S. President Donald Trump continues to hold his own at -160.

On Tuesday it was revealed that Florida law was set to change in an effort to allow DeSantis an easy transition to a Presidential run.  The Governor has yet to announce his intention to run.

Both House Speaker Paul Renner (R-Palm Coast) and Senate President Kathleen Passidomo (R-Naples) insisted that DeSantis should not have to resign from his Governor's post if he were to wind up becoming the GOP nominee.

The Republicans control the state legislature, thus making such a proposal almost certain to pass into law.

“If an individual who is Florida governor is running for president, I think he should be allowed to do it,” Passidomo told reporters. “I really do. That’s a big honor and a privilege, so it is a good idea.”

Florida law requires anyone running for a new office to put in an irrevocable letter of resignation ahead of qualifying if the terms of the two offices overlap.
