Polymarket, the decentralized prediction market platform that allows users to place bets on world events, released a betting market on Iranian President Raisi being found over the next 24 hours beginning just after Noon ET on Sunday.  A helicopter carrying the president crashed in bad weather.  At least two passengers on board have reportedly made contact with rescuers but the search has been hampered by ongoing bad weather.  The odds favor Raisi being located by Monday Noon ET at -156 (61 percent chance).

The helicopter crashed on Sunday as it was crossing mountain terrain in heavy fog, an Iranian official told Reuters, and rescuers were struggling to reach the site of the incident.

The official said the lives of Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian were "at risk following the helicopter crash", which happened on the way back from a visit to the border with Azerbaijan in Iran's northwest.

"We are still hopeful but information coming from the crash site is very concerning," the official told Reuters, speaking on condition of anonymity.
