The DOJ on Tuesday morning released a new batch of files related to the late disgraced sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.
One email released by the DOJ from an unnamed federal prosecutor claimed that flight logs show Trump traveled on Epstein's plane at least eight times in the 1990s.
From NBC News:
The email, which was sent in January 2020 from a federal prosecutor in New York to an undisclosed person, says, "For your situational awareness, wanted to let you know that the flight records we received yesterday reflect that Donald Trump traveled on Epstein’s private jet many more times than previously has been reported (or that we were aware), including during the period we would expect to charge in a [Ghislaine] Maxwell case."
Maxwell, Epstein's accomplice, was indicted in July 2020 on federal sex trafficking charges. She was found guilty in December 2021 and is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence.
The email said Trump, who was at the time serving his first term as president, "is listed as a passenger on at least eight flights between 1993 and 1996, including at least four flights on which Maxwell was also present. He is listed as having traveled with, among others and at various times, Marla Maples, his daughter Tiffany, and his son Eric."
"On one flight in 1993, he and Epstein are the only two listed passengers; on another, the only three passengers are Epstein, Trump, and then-20-year-old [redacted]. On two other flights, two of the passengers, respectively, were women who would be possible witnesses in a Maxwell case.”
Included in the batch of files released overnight by the US Department of Justice was a now-deleted fake video that appeared to depict Jeffrey Epstein attempting to end his life as well as a letter appearing to be sent to convicted Larry Nassar, the US gymnastics team doctor convicted of sexually abusing scores of young gymnasts.
In the letter, postmarked 13 August 2019 and sent from jail, the letter reads:
Dear L.N. as you know by now, I have taken the “short route” home. Good Luck! We share one thing … our love & caring for young ladies at the hope they’d reach their full potential. Our president also shares our love of young, nubile girls. When a young beauty walked by he loved to “grab snatch,” whereas we ended up snatching grub in the mess halls of the system. Life is unfair. Yours, J. Epstein.
New markets emerged on the Kalshi prediction market website that included whether more Epstein files would be released this week and if anyone would leave the DOJ over the release of these files.
A betting market for whether Ghislaine] Maxwell gets released from federal custody has been available on the Kalshi website since July while BetOnline updated its odds on Attorney General Pam Bondi leaving the Trump Administration prior to the end of 2028 as well as Bondi impeachment odds.
Polymarket continues to offer odds on who will be named in the next Epstein files release with nearly $2.7 million in contract volume thus far.
