After peaking at 1-7 odds of becoming the next US President at some books earlier this month, Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton was moving back towards her 12 month average price of 1-3 with a few books holding at 1-4 just one week ahead of the Election.

News broke Friday that the FBI was now probing newly discovered emails possibly related to Clinton found on a laptop computer shared by her longtime aid Huma Abedin and her estranged husband Anthony Weiner.

Bettors were also more inclined to wager on Republican nominee Donald Trump with news that some polls had him leading in the critical swing state of Florida while another swing state, Nevada, was also drawing close in favor of Trump.

The real estate magnate appears to have weathered a storm of accusations coming from nearly a dozen women claiming Trump groped or attempted to kiss them.  The GOP nominee has denied all the allegations, calling the women "liars" and threatening to sue them.  Earlier this month, Trump was caught on tape from a nearly ten-year-old "Access Hollywood" appearance whereby he was heard saying he can grab a woman "by the p****", a result of his "celebrity".

Bettors and bookies alike seem to believe the email controversy involving Clinton will swing the momentum Donald Trump’s way and this is certainly showing in the odds.

“Sports book still has Hillary almost 4-1 to win. Hard to believe that's right,” tweeted 83-year-old poker legend Doyle Brunson, a lifelong Republican.

The majority of early voting states also showed the Democrats with an advantage.
