Bookies, Gamblers Not Betting on Trump to Become Republican Nominee

The polls may have real estate tycoon Donald Trump well ahead of the other GOP contenders to become the Republican nominee for US President.  Don’t tell that to gamblers or the bookmakers who base their odds on player action.

BetOnline

Trump trails both former Florida Governor Jeb Bush and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker at Irish bookmaker Paddy Power where one can find him at 9-2 odds.

But what do the Irish know about U.S. politics anyway?

It’s not just Paddy Power, however.

Trump was listed at 4/1 odds at BetOnline, but here he is tied with Scott Walker.  Bush was coming in closer to 2/1 odds.

Wednesday’s national polling that came out has Trump within the margin of error of beating heavy favorite Democrat Hillary Clinton.
