Binders Full of Women and the Latest Romney-Obama Post-Debate Odds

The media pundits seem to believe that US President Barack Obama won the second Presidential debate but the public reaction to a comment made by GOP nominee and former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney has been astronomical on Twitter, that being “Binders Full of Women”.  (note:  There is even a “Binders Full of Women” Facebook page).

Binders full of women?

The former Governor responded to a woman’s question regarding pay inequality: "I went to a number of women's groups and said, 'Can you help us find folks,' and they brought us whole binders full of women."

Prior to this popular sound bite, Romney had this to say:

"I had the chance to pull together a cabinet and all the applicants seemed to be men," Romney said. And I – and I went to my staff, and I said, 'How come all the people for these jobs are – are all men?' They said, "Well, these are the people that have the qualifications.' "

Romney said he requested "a concerted effort to go out and find women who had backgrounds that could be qualified to become members of our cabinet."

Gambling911.com went straight over to Twitter to get a feel for how people were reacting to the “binders full of women” comment, negatively or positively?

Well, the response wasn’t exactly positive and this sound bite seems to have struck a nerve.

Romney's 5 Point Plan: 1. Binders full of women 2. Chinese finger trap 3. Chimichanga deportation 4. Single parent AK47s 5. Rose gardens

Mitt Romney is a moron. It is scary that he has binders full of women. What the hell does that mean.

"Binders full of women" makes sense if you think of ppl mainly as lines in an HR ledger. "We got 1000s of spreadsheet rows of women!"

Obama remained a -260 favorite to be re-elected at BetOnline post-debate although oddsmakers and gamblers alike will be slow to react.  Therefore, it will be interesting to see how these odds change in the coming days.
