Barney Frank Once had a ‘Pot Brownie’: Talks Internet Gambling on CNN (Video)

Talking about the legalization of marijuana, outgoing Democratic Congressman Barney Frank was asked by CNN’s Erin Burnett Wednesday evening if he actually smokes the stuff.

Frank replied:  “I did have a brownie once.  It made me sleepy.”

The openly gay Congressman was referring to pot brownies.

During the discussion, Frank also mentioned his efforts in trying to get Internet gambling legalized and spoke of how he personally doesn’t gamble much but believes it is an American citizen’s right to wager online.

Burnett commented that he sounded “a lot like Ron Paul” to which Congressman Frank responded that they are both in agreement with the legalization of pot and online gambling, though he does not necessarily agree with Paul’s economic policies.

The two have co-sponsored bills in both these areas.

A clip of the segment appears below.
