In addition to Paddy Power odddsmaker Rory Scott Telling CNN’s Michael Smerconish GOP current front runner Donald Trump Won't Win the Republican nomination, he also made another bold prediction.

“This will be the biggest nonsporting betting event in our history,” Scott said of the 2016 US Presidential race.

That would be quite a feat considering Paddy Power is based out of Ireland.  US gamblers can place wagers on the 2016 US Presidential race at online sportsbooks like AceSportsbook.com, among others.

Scott reported that Paddy Power has Marco Rubio as the favorite to win at 6/4 odds.  "We think Rubio has the real staying power," Scott told Smerconish.  That's a 37 percent chance.  Trump was at 9/4 odds.

Does the market set the odds? Scott said his company sets the market then it takes over via the wagering activity.

"If we were setting the odds, he would probably be at 6/1 or 10/1," Scott said, noting that the money is what dictates the odds.

Hillary Clinton was at 8/11 odds or 55% chance of winning the 2016 US Presidential election.
