Today, UltimateBet ("UB") announced the launch of  UltimateBet.de, a dedicated German language information portal that will detail the leading online poker site's all new  series of live poker tournaments to be hosted in Germany and the Czech Republic.

October 24th will see the inaugural live event hosted in one of the oldest cities in Germany, Cologne, where one of the most innovative pieces of German engineering is on the line. Exclusive to UltimateBet account holders, this tournament has a low-limit buy-in and will award the winner with a Mercedes Smart car, known as much for its fuel-sipping, earth-friendly efficiency as for its styling and superior safety.

"We want our German players to feel as welcomed and as much a part of the UB community as their North American poker peers, and our live events will help create familiarity with the UB brand and the company that we are today, with an emphasis on security, safety and the welfare of our players," said Stephan Reschke, UltimateBet's Marketing Manager for Germany.

The string of land-based Texas Hold ‘em tournaments usher in a new level of support and rewards for UltimateBet's growing number of German players. The live tournaments in Germany will shift host venues throughout the country each weekend, with a range of affordable buy-ins and attractive prizepools. Monthly $10,000 GTD tournaments will be held at the Casino Flamingo, located conveniently close to the German border in the Czech Republic.

UltimateBet's expansion into Germany is an exciting milestone for the US-focused online poker site, providing the chance to get to know some of UB's northern European players. The land-based Hold ‘em events will also allow UB's German players to meet each other face-to-face,  rather than just on Chat in the online poker room, and to have some fun playing a game they mutually enjoy.

Check UltimateBet.de for full live tournament information, including dates and registration details of the ongoing schedule in Germany and the Czech Republic.
