When asked during a bail hearing Thursday what interests a woman charged in the home invasion of World Series of Poker champion Jonathan Duhamel, Bianca Rojas Latraverse responded with a smirk:  “I really like law”.

Latraverse is charged with orchestrating the brazen home invasion, robbery and beating of her ex-boyfriend, Duhamel, just days before Christmas.

Quebec Court Judge Pierre Belisle stated he was not impressed with "the reliability" of some of the evidence presented in an effort to secure the woman's release while she faces five charges, including conspiracy, in the Dec. 21 attack on Duhamel that left him hospitalized.

Latraverse claims to be a poker player and says she makes a successful living doing so.

One of Latraverse’s co-conspirators offered a much stranger response to Judge Belisle’s question on what he plans to do with his life should he be granted bail.

John Clark referred to himself as a "student/writer,” saying that he is writing “an 8,000 page novel called A Dose of Psychosis, but is struggling with the end.”

Clark also bragged about "drinking and being promiscuous.”

By the end of Friday’s continued bail hearing the judge had decided additional time would be needed to decide on freedom for the three suspects while they await trial.  A four to thirteen year sentence was widely anticipated.
