Another one bites the dust and this time it’s none other than the online poker room known as Dracula Poker. Dracula Poker închis.
The iPoker Network skin that catered mostly to those players residing in Romania and Hungary abruptly shut its doors this week leaving players feeling once again like a stake has been plunged through their hearts.
The good news for Dracula customers is that they appear to have had their accounts shifted over to another much larger iPoker Network skin, TitanPoker.com.
Customers at a handful of other shuttered online poker rooms may not be so lucky.
The likes of Purple Lounge and 5050Poker shut down in recent months leaving players high and dry. Neither is likely to come back to life.
In the case of Purple Lounge Poker, one of its parent company’s chairpersons was arrested in Orlando, Florida last summer after resisting arrest. Police came upon Chairman Chris Gorman watching as his wife performed oral sex on a black man inside the men’s room of a hiphop club. Gorman was subsequently released. His wife, Mary, was also charged with drug possession and assault on a police officer and must stand trial.
