As promised the live stream for Tuesday morning’s Subcommittee hearing to legalize Internet poker in the US is available here.

Among those testifying, former Republican New York Senator and Poker Players Alliance Chairman Alfonse D’Amato and Texas Republican Congressman Joe Barton, who has presented the bill to regulate and license online poker in the States.

D’Amato noted that Poker Players Alliance President John Pappas was able to open an online betting account at Bodog.com using his US Government issued credit union debit card.

D’Amato also talked about Full Tilt Poker, which ironically helped support the PPA up until recent indictments were handed down on April 15.  He did acknowledge that Full Tilt “betrayed” the players trust.  D’Amato did point to PokerStars as a company that segregates accounts, something that the measure to legalize Internet poker would require.
