Punta Cana Poker Classic

At approximately 10:45 pm local time Thursday evening, the 51st player was eliminated from this year’s Punta Cana Poker Classic.  He goes home with….well….nothing.

50th place through 1st place will all finish in the money.

Among the notables still in:  Panamanian pros Bolivar Palacios and Jose Miguel de la Guardia.

A relative unknown female player was still very much in the thick of the action.  Jessica Perez was gunning for the top prize.

BetDSI.com’s biggest qualifier, Bill Wellman, made what was described as a "ballsy move" that ultimately ensured his place in the top 50.

The most amazing story of the night is Ecuadorian player David Hurrieta entering the Punta Cana Poker Classic through a 25 cent satellite.  He made the final 50.
