Record Breaking Field of 3292 Players at 2015 Estrellas Barcelona Main Event

A record-breaking field of 3,292 players from 81 countries entered this season's €1,100 Estrellas Barcelona Main Event creating a €3,193,240 prize pool.

The winner will take home €491,000 with 487 finishing in the money and a min-cash worth €1,755. Spain accounts for 18% of the field with 590 players, followed by France with 14% (445 players) and Italy (8%, 251).

The biggest event of this season's EPT Barcelona Poker Festival is under way with 59 players already registered (beating last year's record for this event of 58 unique players)

Nine players snagged their seats in the prestige event for just €5k, after carving their way through a 97-strong field last night. They include EPT Tallinn champion Kevin Stani from Norway, EPT11 Player of the Year Dzmitry Urbanovich from Poland, German pro Dominik Nitsche and EPT Malta €10k High Roller winner David Peters from the States.

22 players arrived in time for shuffle up and deal including Steve O'Dwyer, who has already secured one trophy here (and a seat in the €5,300 EPT Main Event) after taking down the very first event of the festival, the Neymar Jr Charity Home Game.
