Just days after PKR Poker launched its “lite” site, traffic was up 32 percent.

Many in the online poker world have commented on PKR’s brilliant 3D graphics being more “pretty” than “feasible”, crashing computers and slowing systems down.

PKR “lite” is intended to at some point enter the US market, quite possibly as a free poker site.  For now, this living in Europe can play on the “lite” site while enjoying the “real cash” 3D generated platform.

Despite its long established presence, PKR has never managed to gain on its rivals.  The “real cash” poker rooms lags just below Bodog Poker at number 21 but does not offer the other products Bodog has such as a sportsbook and online casino.

PKR Poker was started by Jez San, noted on the site as "one of the UK’s best known technology entrepreneurs".  While playing poker at home with friends and online, Jez dreamed of developing a more realistic poker game that had true-to-life qualities.

Malcolm Graham, PKR Chief Executive Officer, ultimately helped launch the site while securing a gaming license and establishing payment processing platforms.

The site bills itself as "The World's Most Advanced Online Poker Room", featuring rich 3D environments, near infinite character customization and an exclusive 'Emote Control' technology.

PKR does not offer play for US citizens at this time.
