PartyPoker has Biggest Cushion Between It and iPoker Network Since Summer

PartyPoker has pulled far ahead of the iPoker Network to take firm control of the number two spot for most trafficked online poker rooms in the world.  Since the shut down of Full Tilt Poker last June, Party and iPoker have alternated between the number two and three spot.  Until recently, the highest peak difference between the two rooms was around 250 average real cash players.

PokerScout.com had Party now with over 850 more average real cash players than the iPoker Network.

Another big news story this week is the incredible 11 percent surge in traffic across the board with all 10 of the top online poker networks seeing gains of at least 5 percent between them.  And it was PokerStars that led the way with an 18 percent increase.  Stars is the biggest online poker room in the world with four times the amount of traffic of Party.

From PokerScout.com:

The site (PokerStars) saw higher traffic all week thanks to its 75 billionth hand promotion. The final milestone hand was dealt midday on Saturday, causing the usual tsunami of players trying to snag the massive prize. A peak of 75,887 cash game players was recorded before the bubble burst and players rushed for the exits.
