PA Online Poker Not Happening This Year

While the Pennsylvania House overwhelmingly passed a measure allowing online poker in that state, the Senate has placed the legislation on hold and its likelihood of getting anywhere this legislative session seem close to zero.

The Senate will be back in session for one day November 15 to conclude any unfinished business.

While Internet poker might fall under that category, the Senate appears reluctant to do anything about it.

“We told the House before, we don’t have consensus on I-gaming, yet they chose to load it into the host fee bill,” said Sen. Jake Corman, Senate majority leader. “That basically killed it for this session.”
