The online poker traffic monitoring website, PokerSiteScout.com, reports that there has been an overall rise of 2 percent in number of "real cash" players at the Internet poker rooms. Six of the top 10 sites and networks showed a weekly increase.

PokerStars accounted for a large part of the gain with a healthy 4 percent surge, according to the site. This is the sixth straight weekly increase for PokerStars.

Full Tilt Poker, which last week recorded its highest traffic numbers, eased back slightly this week, but the decrease was less than last year at this time. Full Tilt has now doubled in size year over year.

Cereus Network, which includes UltimateBet.com and Absolute Poker, rose back to 6th place after a reporting glitch was noted over the past few weeks.  Cereus is now competing closely with Ongame Network for the fifth position.

Notable gainers over the last year:

Full Tilt Poker  100%

Entraction Network  59%

PokerStars  54%

PKR  44%

Notable losers:

Ongame Network  19%

Everest Poker  13%

Bodog  12%

Svenska Spel  11%
