An ingenious new app lets gamblers know the various casino waiting times.  The free iOS and Android app is called Bravo Poker Live and has all the makings of a huge hit.

Bravo Poker Live was developed by Genesis Gaming Solutions.  It shows in real time the number of people waiting for tables at some of the biggest casinos in Northern California, including Graton, Cache Creek and Thunder Valley.

It’s not just Northern California casinos. The app also works at Harvey's and the Peppermill in the Lake Tahoe area and Caesars Palace, Bellagio, Mirage, Wynn, Harrah's and the Venetian along with a few others.

From Michael Shapiro of the San Francisco Chronicle:

Bravo lists the games at each casino, how many people are waiting to play each game and upcoming tournaments. It also shows how much money is in bad-beat jackpots.

The app works only for cardrooms that employ Bravo's software, so many smaller poker rooms aren't available, Shapiro notes.
