Punta Cana Poker Classic

When poker legend Doyle Brunson decided to leave DoylesRoom.ag until which time poker becomes regulated in the United States, the Texas Dolly decided to break the news first on Gambling911.com by notifying our very own Jenny Woo.

With the Punta Cana Poker Classic set for November and DoylesRoom looking to play an integral part, Ms. Woo is hoping to score big by luring Brunson to the event for a second straight year.

“He absolutely loved it there and tells us he still maintains a great relationship with the folks from DoylesRoom,” notes Woo.

Sadly, Doyle’s sister passed away unexpectedly the final day of the tournament.  Aside from that terrible moment during the event, Doyle seemingly enjoyed himself immensely and reiterated this time and time again.

“I’ve never seen a resort this big,” Brunson told us, referring to the sprawling Hard Rock establishment in Punta Cana where the event is scheduled to take place.

Organizers are working on reeling in other big name pros, many of whom might not have homes now that Full Tilt Poker and UB.com have left the US market.  UB.com terminated all of its pros contracts last month.

The Brunson 10 are expected to all be present as well.
