In order to take part in the inaugural New Jersey Championship of Online Poker, one needs to be physically located in the state of New Jersey though it is not necessary to be an actual resident.
The PartyPoker website and all online gambling sites in the Garden State utilize a state-of-the-art geo-targeting system that prevents anyone from accessing the site for real money if logging in outside of New Jersey’s border.
So if you happen to reside in neighboring New York State, Pennsylvania or Delaware, it’s just a hop, skip and a jump to some indoor mall or park to gain access (bring your mobile hubs just in case).
