FeltStars has become the latest in a rash of poorly funded online poker rooms to shut down in recent weeks.

A message on the site read as follows:

The entire FeltStars Team would like to thank all of our loyal players for at the years you have played poker on FeltStars,” the message began. “We are saddened to announce that we will be leaving online poker and no longer offer (sic) these services on our website.”

The good news for FeltStars.com players is that funds are expected to be transferred to other Merge Gaming Network online poker skins.  There are a couple dozen utilizing the network including Gambling911.com sponsor CarbonPoker.ag

“Your balance is securely held by Merge Gaming and they will assist in transferring your funds to another partner.”

Players on other sites haven’t all been so lucky.  European-based Purple Lounge, for example, shut its doors abruptly over the summer after years of service.  The parent company indicated that customers have little likelihood of ever seeing their monies.
